Let’s address the elephant in the room. In order for your school to experience successful productivity within its realm it needs to be diverse. It has been evidently proven that diversity across classrooms increases not only creative thinking and innovation but it also helps reform educational strategies – particularly ones that have not viewed to work properly over the years. However, it also proved to be problematic.

While initiating conversation may really help in building relationships in the classroom, children who may have experienced anxiety at any stage of their lives will find it difficult to build solid interpersonal skills. Make no mistake, this is a daunting task for any educator to tackle – if the environment seems to be microcosmic to what the students are accustomed to.

The good thing about having mixed nationalities in the classroom is the fact that you can celebrate different festivities from around the world. That’s what intercultural competence is about. You will get the mere pleasure of experiencing culture in its truest form along the profound understanding of how people function.

The biggest challenge teachers face is making the students culturally responsible without distinguishing one group from another.  After all, the school’s responsibility goes way beyond numbers and figures, it’s about academic proactivity throughout the calendar.  The objective of any educator is to influence students how to respect and appreciate the heritage of their classmates as much as passing exams.

You’ll find that students learning in homogeneous groups are far less productive than diverse heterogeneous groups. These two groups differ.  In this case teachers will have to incorporate methods like gamification to readjust the educational programs during lectures.

Mind you, strong social etiquette is important too. It’s not a motto, it’s a belief that every teacher and staff should work on while building classroom relationships.

The solution does not lie in determining how school staff should work with students but rather the traits inclusive of the environment itself. Culturally-centered education will aid in amplifying a sense of pride among peers. It will also help pave the way when it comes to developing their skills in reading, writing and thinking.

The more positive exposure they are subjected to, the better they will turn out to be when it’s time to unleash their full potential in today’s society.
